Chassis number
Hi I need to find where the chasis number is stamped in my 00 mini cooper sport. Can anyone help please
Re: Chassis number
It should be on the windscreen scuttle panal in the groove that the bonnett sits into .
If the scuttle penal has been replaced it may not have been stamped in .
Or if the panal has been re painted it may be covered in with primer or paint .
Rub your finger under neath the lip if its there u will feel the roughness .

Re: Chassis number
Welcome to getting an MPI through the NCT,
I usually now put a post-it with an arrow and VIN on it, on the scuttle panel when doing the NCT, after on instance when it was listed as one of the fails on the car.
I have also had fails regarding:
- missing the split pins on the ball joints; and
- the blub for the brake indicator light that illuminates on the dashboard when you pull your handbrake must be blown.
I would have a copy on the Rover technical Manual on your phone for when you are arguing that certain things were never on a Mini.
Good luck.

Re: Chassis number
They give you a form either and you bring that to your local Garda station to be signed. I had to do it the last two years for nct on my 00
