A few figures for IMM 2016 in Belgium
Next years IMM will be held Balendijk, 3920 Lommel, Belgium from the 12th to the 16th of May 2016.
It is being hosted by the Mini Fun Club Belgium who were formed in 1999.
The IMM 2016 website is http://www.imm2016.be .
At present event tickets are €57 and will remain so until the end of June. Ticket prices will rise to €67 up to mid December, then €77 to mid March and €87 thereafter.
A special ferry deal with P&O is available through the Belgian Club on the Dover-Dunkirk crossing with a 5 day return ticket for Mini and 2 passengers costing €88. They may also be able to get a discount price on the Dublin-Liverpool or Roslare-Fishguard crossings to further help those from Ireland attending the event.
Liverpool to Dover is 498Km
FIshguard to Dover is 550Km
Dunkirk to Lommel is 250Km
Ferry crossing from Dublin to Liverpool takes 8 hours with 3 crossings per day.
Ferry crossing from Roslare to Fishguard takes 4 hours and has 2 crossings daily.
Ferry crossing from Dover to Dunkirk takes 2 hours and there are 11 sailings every day.
98 octane Petrol in Belgium is €1.57 at present.
In the UK it is €1.68 per Ltr.
The BIG question is "How many IMOC Members will be at the IMM 2016 ?"

Re: A few figures for IMM 2016 in Belgium
I would hope to go.. that's the plan anyway.
1 mini two occupants.
You could also go rosslare to cherbourg then 700k drive to lommel.
Fishguard to Dover is 548km and Dunkirk to Lommel is 235 which is 783km.
Theres not much difference between both routes driving wise but only one ferry with the cherbourg route. It would probably come down to cost of ferries then. Also the cherbourg route is more or less one continous drive for 700km.
Stenline return Rosslare cherbourg 244euro an extra 120 for cabin for both sailings.

If you are flying then Aer Lingus has 3 flights a day to Brussels with fares around €150 per person. It's about 110km to the IMM from there. Car rental for 5 days should be around €160, minimum age for rental is usually 23 years old but drivers under 25 sometimes attract a premium charge.
Ryanair fly to Charleroi and can have some very cheap deals if you book at the right time. Charleroi is about 160km from the IMM.

Re: A few figures for IMM 2016 in Belgium
If going through France you have to factor in the autoroute toll charges of around €40 each way. Avoiding the motorways in France is possible but much slower as we have discovered many times.
You also have to consider the time you actually spend on the ship. From Roslare to France direct, you will be 17-18 hours sailing time,
going through the UK it's either 4 or 5 1/2 hours depending on whether you take the fast ferry or not.
Travelling through the UK also allows more flexibility, as it has far more daily crossings, the direct to France route has only 5 sailings a week, so you may have to hang round a day or so for your return boat.
I reckon that you cold take the night boat out of Dublin at 8:00pm on the Wednesday evening and be at the IMM by mid afternoon Thursday.

Ah yea that makes sense when you look into it like that TMG.. that would be ideal to leave Wednesday and be there Thursday afternoon.

Ticket bought for next year. Bring it on. Will be heading across from rosslare on the Wednesday. Stay over night somewhere near Kent the Wednesday evening and then get the ferry crossing the Thursday morning and arrived at the site around lunch time. I must say to Aidan can he get a discount club price with stenaline if there is a group going, I know they have given one for 2017.
