I bought a set of rear brake shoes in my local motor factors for my MPI , it turns out that they are for a Metro, are metro brake drums lar
ger in diameter as they won't fit my car?

According to the Hynes manuals all rear drums are 7". Blackseven was sold a set of "rear" shoes for his MPi that were in fact front shoes for an early mini, same diameter but wider., could be a missprint somewhere. Zakgt had a set on his car that instead of an obvious trailing edge the liner was in the middle of the shoe.

They did fit after all, dopey me forgot to move the adjusters out, thanks for the reply Woody.

I got a set recently with the friction material also in the middle and no obvious trailing edge9as if it was not hard enough to remember which way to fit them)
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.
