850cc Project or Parts

Post by Some S Man »

Dear fellow Mini lovers,

It's time to part with my project of many years. It's a 1980 850cc Leyland it ok condition. The mechanics are good, but there is a bit of rust on the body. The electrics are a bit messy and the guy before me made it worse.

I had it up and running converted to discs on the front, but I went away for a year and now I am working full time with a masters on the go on my days off. No time for anything. Ideally I want to sell the whole car to someone who can restore it or use it with their own project for parts.

The bits that are worth a bit in their own right are:

Stage one kit €180.

Disc converstion kit €650.

Second hand CVs for conversion €150.

Some nice chrome grills and bumpers.

New battery.

I have the original log book and the tax cert to say it will be off the road for another few months. So all that is in order.

I paid €500 for it and there are a lot of good parts on it, plus all the extras I have around the place. I have a spare boot, door, various window panes and other bits. All include.

Asking €900 all in, needs to be trailored away. I'll get some photos up tomorrow when I get this photobucket thing sorted.

Comment below with Qs or PM to contact.

Sam

A few photos there as promised. I have the front grill, I just took it off while working on the car.

Hey Dave,

I'm in Dublin. The car is in the parents place in Stillorgan. 5 minutes from the M50. There is usually someone there afternoons and evenings.

Sam.

if your interested in splitting the parts i'd take the shell and all body parts (Bare subframes, windows, bumpers, glass, lights, doors, bonnet and boot.) off you.

or if anyone wants just the mechanical part let me know and we will try to come to some agreement.

i've cash waiting for body shell if your interested.

I'd be interested in the bonnet if you want to split?
