body work, welding question.

Post by seanos »

I've discovery some rust on the front floor panels and the sills.

If I replaced the floor panels would I need to replace the inner sills too,
http://www.minispares.com/product/classic/MS25R.aspx
or does this panel include the sill?

Has anyone used this panel from mini spares before?
Is it hard to fit?

Here's a few photos of the rust, any recommendations on what to do would be great!

As far as I know! U just need that panel then the out sill!!! There are still the doorsteps! And if the driver side is like that be sure to check the others side!!! Strip ur interior and check back, sides! An front on both driver and passenger sides!!! Check ur door hinge inanely also an boot floor coz If your floors are like that there cud be hidden treasure everywhere :)
If it's bigger than a mini it's not a mini

The rest of the body seams fine, the only places that seem to be bad is the sills and around the air vents, I plan on blanking these off.

I've cleaned down the floor pans and out sills.

When I'm replacing these panels which one should i do first?
And do I need to brace the door, remove subframes?
