K&N Filter Cleaning?

Post by EAMOSPUD »

Just wondering what's the best way to clean my K&N filters (HS2 type ) and what oil to use if any after cleaning?
What has worked successfully for people ?
Cheers

You do know they do a cleaning kit for the K+N the foam one. If I didnt have one I would wash it out with warm soapy water, rinse it and after its dry spray it with a light oil . But thats just me

Cheers Tony , I was wondering what others did to clean theirs. Yep I ordered a cleaning kit over the weekend arrived today. Seems simple enough. Thanks for reply.

that's exactly what i used to do when i had one... warm soapy, dry and oil. I found wd40 too light, i ended making my own by diluting engine oil with paraffin...

can buy kits in motorcross shops dirt cheap and will last you years. same job as k&n kit but much cheaper and the oil is much better at catching dirt and stopping water
