Fuel On Exhaust FIRE!!!!!
Hi
I’m from Dublin and i have a 1983 mini 1000 saloon.
I have a SU carb which has a small leak of fuel i have checked float bowl and made sure that was working before anything else.
I am going to take apart the carb and clean everything. I am also going to replace the pin and mabe a number of gaskets if needs be.
Is this the right way to go about this?
I am not a mechanic.
Thank you to all readers and Thank you to all repliers

Re: Fuel On Exhaust FIRE!!!!!
I forgot to mention on last post that the carb is leaking onto an exhaust pipe which may set the car on fire.
Not critical (sarcasm) but thought i should mention it.
Thanks again to anyone who reads or replies

It may be just a stuck float,is there an overflow pipe on it?
