Re: Rebuild of my 1000 GT
Well the big black brute is now gone
so its been onwards and upwards with the mini . New headliner is now in as is the cage. Had some trouble with the front hubs . The wheelnuts started to spin on the studs.
Well the long and short of it is the stud holes in the hubs were drilled oversize , so they went off to Lloyd to be sent back to the UK . Next on the list is to get the interior in and sort out an engine

Re: Rebuild of my 1000 GT
Engine is now in

I will say i cant find some of the parts I stored, so the rebuild is going very slow
The rear wheel cylinder on the drivers side is nackered
and as you can see I had to fit a new clutch slave cylinder
well two years off the road will do that to rubber parts

Re: Rebuild of my 1000 GT
Yea man, I hear ya on that one
Fitted the rear wheel cylinder tonight. The old one was only on the car for a couple of months before I took the car off the road and it is locked solid.I will change the other one tomorrow to be on the safe side.
