Welcome to the Irish Mini Owners Club forum. Celebrating 30 years of the Irish Mini Owners Club, 60 years of the Mini, 50 years of the Clubman and 20 years of our flagship event MTM
So after campaigning my mini in the saloon class of autotesting a few months ago we decided to bite the bullet and convert the car into a full special to run in the top class.
We sent the car up to Castlederg Mini and autotest specialist Ken Irwin and he did a stunning job and the car was straight on the pace with no teething trouble, seriously light now too, the weight is down to 440kg!
Here is the results. Now all i need is some sponsors! lol
Fantastic looking car, best of luck with it. We ll see you in Sligo in October I m sure, We re goin to see if we can get enough help from the IMOC to run one of the tests

The IMOC to run an autotest for competitors or for club members ?
We have the go ahead from Motorsport Ireland to add an additional class in our Autosolo Championship for IMOC road going minis if club members had interest in using their road cars for some light competition. The biggest factor would be if club members would be willing to pay for an entry typically around 40euro plus a one day competition licence with would be mandatory at 25euro.
Autosolos differ from Autotest in that their is no reversing in the tests, it's all forward motion which would suit persons starting out and would be easier on the cars.
