Could it be coming in from the door? I looked @ one w/similar trouble & it looked like the door seals were not sealing

Re: looking for help with a small problem
could also be coming in through the windscreen seal or from a hole under the wing?
lots of places it could be coming from,
best thing to do is to get a mate to run a hose over the car with you inside and try to see if any water is coming in, if not then it is being forced in (ie when you're driving) or the heater is leaking

Re: looking for help with a small problem
A leaking heater core should be fairly obvious. Your windscreen will also steam up something terrible!
I'd look at the windscreen rubber. Sometimes rust can be hidden under the seal, allowing water ingress.

Also try and have a look at the air vent entry hole beside the clock pod as it is a notorious rust spot on Minis and this will allow water in also the plastic sheeting between the door card and door may be split.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.

Re: looking for help with a small problem
have a look at the main rad and the coolant level if its ok its not the heater so the best thing is to pull back the carpet and put a hose on it starting at the bottom work your way up good luck might take sometime

I had same problem, coming down along break pedal when it rained it got a car wash. Rubber were busted out the front of the bonnet, replaced and seems to be better
