Put new brake cylinders front and rear and new shoes on the front, the front ones were leaking and the rear ones were seized.
The brakes are now working again :D

I also got my minilife alloys, have to get spacers for the rear wheels going to put the later drums
with the built in spacer on.

Mini back on the road :D :D :D :D :D :D New NCT today :D the last NCT was in 2000  only took new brake cylinders, service, and steering boots. The Mini got lots of looks at the NCT.

The new alloys & tyres would not fit on the rear so had to fit later 84 on rear drums, and longer wheel studs.

Next job some chrome trim, not a fan of the black !

I dunno Chris,I think the black looks well against the yellow and the wheels really set it off.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.

I'd agree with Aidan. Keeping such an original car as standard as possible will turn more heads and look far better :)

I say I will keep the black trims, I have a new grille coming for it and its black. The one on it is starting to rust (spider legs), so it time to retire ( put some oil on it and put it away safe) it takes away from the as new look that the mini has.

I am going to fit a bonnet lock too, as I would not fell safe leaving it parked, when it can be opened from outside the car. I did not want to fit the internal one as it would damage the paint on the bolts and around the bonnet lock. I got a new black Wilmot Breedon bonnet lock from Moss in the UK.

I have not done much on the mini the last 6 months and didn't do 500 miles in it last year the weather was that bad  I plan to take it to a few shows this year :D I have to get it NCT'd too :( I hate that year NCT

I have the mini 11 years now and I found a few new old stock parts on ebay :) what would we do without ebay :?: I have been meaning to buy these parts the last few years. When the mini was not that old the lady that owned it broke the Lucas sealed beam lamp on the LH side and it was replaced with a Unipart one from the Austin Rover dealer. They are hard to find now new old stock Lucas sealed beams with the plot window in them, got one last week on ebay and fitted it :D now the two headlights match 8)
OCD   !!!!!!

The next job was to replace the two reversing lights lens they were damaged by someone many years ago changing bulbs, they broke the little lip that the top lens sits on  Found two new old stock ones on ebay over Christmas :) and replaced the screws with stainless one too.

Next job a service and a few other little jobs and I am going to to do a bit of rust proofing with lots of dinitrol to keep it looking like new :)
