The Sportspack models came with 13" wheels but the wings were cut back under the arches.

AFAIK any wheel over 12x5 needs to have the arches cut.

Thanks for your help guys

By cutting the arches is this a big job? Will the body work have to be cut or just the monte carlo arches.

I am a total novice at this sort of stuff sorry.

I have a BRG cooper with "chrome" arches. Similar to this mini

The metal wheel arch has to be cut, your standard arches will also have to be replaced as the wheels will stick out beyond the arch which is a no no as far as the Guards and the NCT are concerned.
There are templates available that show where to cut and where to drill the holes to accept the sportspack style arch.

Right so...

Would anyone know who could do such a job for me?

Im based in Dublin.

I need to get my hands on a tool to unlock my locking wheel bolt. I didnt get one with the car when I bought him two and a half years ago. I think i have to get new shocks aswell.

Overall a big job I think but interested to see what the cost would be.

Any help appreciated,

Thanks

hi salad,
cutting the arches and releving the metal ones is farley involved so what i would say is if the mini is your every day car, i might be an idea to plan the job or a time when your car wont be needed for a wile. if on the other hand your car is for hobbie use only then, the job is not incermountable. Tools wise you will need:
Angle Grinder
Paper templates
Slection of hand tools,
Access to a welder,
some sheet metal.
if you cant get the locking wheel nut off hust weld a large nut to the top of it and use that out remove it.
Regards,
Paul.

I need new shocks aswell :( How much are shocks each?
