Haven't been near it in over a week so decided to remove the side windows and interior panels today.
The wheelwell hole is getting bigger all the time.
Next will be the rest of the interior.

It's looking that way and I'm afraid to think what it's going to look like after blasting.

Hey Billy, I've also spotted a 60's van in need of some major rebuilding. Have to get back to you if I get it.

Some recent updates. The biggest problem with my shell is the crater where the wheelwell used to be. Thankfully another man handy with an angle grinder, kerryminigringo, was cutting up an estate shell with a much better rear so off ZAKGT and I set off to collect it.
And to get it home, I tied it onto the trusty Volvo for the trip back to Co. Cork
The plan was to get it to a sodablaster in either Limerick or Cork but I've just found out there's a guy after setting up just 4 miles away from me. So once the next Mini for the chop (a 2000 Cooper) is off my trailer on Sunday, I can finally get the Clubby off to be blasted.

Tommi,
What you've got there looks more like an estate with the cover for the spare wheel in the back.
The gearstick you have is very early and is known as "the magic wand". It's definitely not an automatic and is probably from the easily '60s.
First frost here last night. Probably a lot colder in Finland.

The discovery of 19-year-old petrol has shone a new light on the integrity of the tank.
With the headlining, tank, pedals, wiring loom, and handbrake removed yesterday, the shell is finally ready for blasting. Fingers crossed it should go to the blaster tomorrow for collection later this week.

You won't find the holes in the tank till you remove the rust.
Been there, done that, got the paperweight.
A fully carbon fiber Mini Marcos shell weighs just 7.25kg.

You have an odd van there Tommi,it has an estate floor where the spare wheel is stored under the floor at the rear. Most vans had the spare wheel stored under the load bed behind the passenger seat.It looks like one piece windows where put in the back along with a rear seat conversion. It also have the cold climate heat in the engine bay.Check the wiper motor for a date and this will give you an idea of the age of it.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.

The Clubby is ready to go, there's nothing left to strip off it. It will be on the trailer tomorrow morning and off to the blaster, 4 miles away.
With the Clubby estate ready for blasting, it was time to sort out the replacement rear floor sourced from KMG
The green stuff is fungus and moss.
The two panels either side of the wheelwheel are just pop rivetted and fairly easy to take off.

You're getting the KMG floor blasted too I hope.

If your only using the wheelwell save as much of the rear floor as you can as its no longer available.I had to make one for my woody.
Tommi's van sure is unusual, any idea what country it was assembled in?
