Re: my 998 rebuild
palns for the mini she will be running on 10inch minilifes , will be fitted with mk1 grille and tail lights and will be a retro mk1 paint job possibly works red .
engine wise will be fairly standard 998 fitted with lcb , straight thru exhaust into rc40 back box , nikki twin choke carb and will be porting and polishing the head , may fit a mg metro cam and cooper head or upgrade to 1275 if can get one cheap enough
will be running on gas kyb shocks and hopefully cooper s disc if anyone has any going cheap get in touch please thanks

Re: my 998 rebuild
Keep your old rubber mounts or put some new ones in your plans, I'm in the process of getting rid of all the poly bushes as they weren't up to the job, as although they don't compress as much as rubber (when new) they don't react as quick either.

Re: my 998 rebuild
Slow but steady progress, nothing beats putting stuff back on a newly painted shell although it does show up any rusty nuts or bolts on the stuff you are putting back on.Not that you have that problem.
