Hi ,
I came across a very old looking car radio/tape player today and just wondering if anyone would know anything about them as it looked pretty old and i havent seen one before, it came with about five or six tapes that looked like the old eight tack tapes like the one in the picture attached. So im wondering if these are rare and how old would it be and would it be actually worth anything.
Its not exactly mini related but it looked kinda cool to me and interested to find out about them. I tried looking around on the web but not exactly sure if its an eight track or not and it seems that anything 8 track related is in the states.
Thanks
JP

Re: Vintage car tape player.
Ah the good old 8 tracks (showing my age now!!)
While rare enough now, I don't think that they're fetching big money really. I've a couple of players and a box of old tapes (ABBA, Air Supply, Beatles, Boney M etc..... )
I'm sure that anyone with cars from the '70's and early '80's would be interested in such players......

Re: Vintage car tape player.
So, not exactly the hidden gem i though it was,
But cheers for the info, wasnt sure what it was. So was this the standard radio you would find in any 70s and 80s cars.
I was looking through ebay too but prices seem to vary dramaticly. The one i seen wasnt in the best of shape so doubth its worth much. The woman selling it was looking for €50 for the lot, tape and all so not exactly the bargan of the century.
