Looking good Ronan oh sorry I meant to say Billy
and good job you did not show the light board on the trailer or TMG would be crying again.

Never finished off this restoration topic even though the car made it to Switzerland and back last year.
Here's a few photos of that brilliant round trip of 2300 miles. Apart from a dodgy thermostat switch which wouldn't turn on the electric fan every so often, all went well.

Relaxing in a French campsite en route.

Re: Munster Mini - '98 Cooper Restoration
The Munster Mini originally came with factory black and cream cloth seats which I wanted to replace with factory black leather. A set of black leather seats typically goes for £500-600 which I couldn't justify so when I came on a 2000 Cooper for spares, I decided to swap out for the 2000-only black Cooper seats.
I sold the cream seats to another forum user but still had to replace the seatbelts, gearstick gaitor, and steering wheel.

Don't know why there's a white spot showing in the back seat as it's perfect.
And the piece de resistance, the black leather steering wheel.

Re: Munster Mini - '98 Cooper Restoration
Haven't updated this topic in yonks but happy to report some major developments. Many moons ago, this Mini was known as the Munster Mini and had Munster Rugby logos on the roof and bootlid by the previous owner. When I restored it, they were removed for the respray. Yesterday I brought it to Grafix Signs in Midleton to get them reinstated:
Before

After

Of course all of this was done knowing that a load of Munster Rugby players were visiting Fermoy today so I positioned the Mini outside the Loreto Sports Hall this morning in preparation:

Munster and Irish International Donnacha O'Callaghan with my two players:

Afterwards the players agreed to have their photo taken outside

And Donnacha himself got behind the wheel but as he said himself (he's 6'6") "it's a bit of a squish".

The Munster Mini lives again!!!
