Nice original Mary Quant you have there and looks clean as well.Try to keep all the bits you take off it as limited editions are always worth more with all the model specific bits with it.Hope to see it out and about next summer.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.

In 1988, Mary Quant designed the interior of the most eye-catching Mini to date.
The aptly named Designer. A quirky but ultimately lovable little offering, combining the no nonsense approach of Issigonis' engineering with the bold colours of Quant: Black, white and red...with a healthy dose of Nimbus Grey.

The Designer came in two colours, Jet Black or Diamond White, as you might well imagine and featured a striking 'zebra crossing'-esque interior.
Black and white striped seats with red beading, red seatbelts and lap straps, Mary Quant signatures on the front seats and Quant's trademark daisy motif on the centre of the steering wheel and the bonnet badge.

To top this off, all the typically Mini exterior chrome was replaced with Nimbus Grey - bumpers, light rims, grille, mirrors and arches - and a contrasting double white or black pinstripe was added from nose to tail along with the Designer decal on both rear quarters and the boot lid.
Mary was even thoughtful enough to pop in a daisy key ring and matching make-up bag too!!

On 15th June 1988, 2000 of these crazy little cars were released into the wild.
A handful remain, so if you have one hold on to it!
A show stopping example is hard to come by, but could hold a value of up to £5000!

You don't have to hide stuff in Ballymitty because no one knows where Ballymitty is in the first place!
