Looking for info on a 1978 1275GT

Hi All,

Long time, no Mini

I just thought I'd ask here, as when I moved over to Dublin back in 1997, I had a yellow 1978 1275GT.

After having lived in north wales, my insurance quote went from £130 to (coincidentally) IR£1275.
Being just starting my employment at that time, I didn't use the Mini, and eventually gave it away to a member of the Irish Mini Owners club.

At that time I lived in Clonskeagh, (I think it was lat 1998) so if anyone remembers getting a yellow 1275GT with a dent in the roof off me, I'd be happy to know what happened to it, for sentimental reasons!

(Or maybe, if you have it for sale.......)

Anyway, just thought I'd ask, as the Mini bug seems to have bitten again, and I seem to be on the lookout for a Mini Van.

Do you have the reg of your old GT in case it's changed colour since?

Welcome to the Forum. I see your location is Dun Laoghaire, but were you living in Glasthule / Glenageary at the time? I remember a yellow GT around there and another Clubman at the same house I think. I don't know what happened the GT after that though.

It was a UK Reg: WPN778S

I was living in Clonskeagh at the time.

I am living in Glasthule now though! Unfortunately, only fake minis around here. (Although I did see a real one recently)
