Anybody tell me the c02 of a 1.3 mini italianjob. And where i can show proof of it to the nice people in the vrt office its a 1993 model.

Were you quoted €480?

If so thats the minimum vrt for a car. It used to be €250 but the nice men in the Dail decided that was to reasonable. Despite the fact that charging vrt is illegal in the eu and Ireland has to pay a fine every year for charging it.

It used to be €315 not €250.
When emmissions based vrt came in the catagory A (cars) minimum came down to €280. I doubt your mini will fit in the €280 bracket though.

much as i hate to agree with revenue (and yes i agree with you that VRT is contrary to the spirit of the Treaty of Rome, foundation for our current EU) all the figures i have seen puts the 1275cc mini somewhere about 164g/km, which on revenue's scale that's minimum Euro 480 :(
