Centre Speedo

Found a mini today in a scrap yard. It has the old dash with the speedo in the centre. When I saw it I thought that it would be cool to put that into my 88 mayfair.

Just wondered has anyone else done this and if so how did it turn out. Also can you buy a new dash to suit the centre mount.

Mines an 83 with a centre clock speedo but it was the one fitted when I got it.

I bought a new walnut effect dash for it a few years ago so yes you can definitely get them.

Look up custom consoles for minis on google. I used them just before Xmas and found products very good and wasn't too expensive at all.

When I bought the car there was a three dial clock fitted and I've seen a few awesome dashes to suit those, but the centre clock has that retro look which is pretty cool to.

Dunno what way to go??

A lad in Meath, company called stitched up autos. Around the 340 mark got just seats, around 500 with the doorcards and everything. Great job on them.
