Re: Brake lights?
emissions kept going up!!! 1st time no cat on mini and it had lowest O2 reading.fitted cat and back box retested and reading was twice as high....3rd time after adjusting timing and all that was higher again..that why we dont talk about NCT for now....Cheers for the advice lads, will check the switch 1st.

Re: Brake lights?
I'd go with brake switch to.
Which readings keep going up, CO2, HC or Lambda?
What were the three readings per test?

Re: Brake lights?
If the 02 went up, you have a leak in the exhaust, Id be looking at the joints you tightened when refitting the cat.
High 02 means your running lean so you either have a fuelling issue or an air leak somewhere. What are the HC and co like?

Low idle CO 3.00% HC 549PPm!!!
High idle Lambda 0.87 CO 5.02% HC207ppm
Restest AGAIN after more work

Re: Brake lights?
The first Lambda reading shows the engine running too lean and this then goes too rich for the following two test. If your running a standard manifold would you have broken the joint just below the sensor allowing some air in, when you were fitting the cat?
