I see that Kavan is working on the moke in the hope of making it to the MTM,I hope to have the MKII ready but failing that, the 74 auto estate will definately be ready but who else is on a mission to get their car ready for the MTM.I,ve heard that deep in the midlands a marcos is being prepared but then again, thats only a rumour so who else is working away out there.

It's great that everyone is taking the event so seriously and using it as a deadline for projects etc. One thing to keep in mind though, for every car entered, there will be a co-driver/navigator required so everyone should be able to make the trip in some shape or form, even if your own project isn't ready in time.

Good to hear there's another mini pick-up around. What colour is it? Where did it come from? Is it an Irish car? There's not too many around.. I know of one in Dublin, 1 in Cork, and 1 near me in Fermoy.

The clubman estate was dispatched yesterday for a new coat of BL,s finest blaze orange. What I thought was a really sound car only required two sills,a wing and an A panel, complete rear valance and small repairs to the drivers floor, front panel and the passenger wing that had been replaced previously. So much for me thinking it was sound but anyway its well on the road to being finished.

The mini, more than just a brand.

Hi i brought it in from englang about 6 six months ago. Its cream in colour but have notice green, blue and purple. Its needs a complete strip down and then i'll find out what it needs. Ive seen a twin cab twin axle mini pick up in dublin but thats the only one. I'll hopefully have a pic uploaded tomorrow.

KMG, could blaze orange be the same colour as TMG's Droop Snoot Estate? If you wanted to go for a Droop Snoot replica, I'm sure TMG could advise on the availability of the DS unique body panels.

Billy,

Could you please refrain from calling my Drop Nose Clubman Estate a "droop snoot". It's not a Vauxhall . One would have thought that you would have known better.

DNCE's were only ever available in Vermilion Red, Glacier White and Nautilus Blue.

Blaze Orange isn't even close.

Replacement panels are long since NLA.

take one egg half of a mini esatate 2 1/4 of a clubman mix to a past an a drop of Vermilion Red ( could be supsatuted by Glacier White or Nautilus Blue) bake in an irish oven preheted to gas mark 4 for 2-3 hours and presto you have a lovle "droop snoot".

Now Now Every mini needs an owner and TMG you get all the quair ones.

I think we all know that story, retelling it would only invigorate your lust for a DNCE of your own.
