full resto on a rotten mini
I was just wondering how much you would pay someone to restore your mini back to as it was when leaving the factory,
im talkin needing new wings, doors, a panels, scuttle, boot floor, sills . all the usual mini wear and tear, all of this plus a full respray in a nice finish,,, my mini needed alot of work and i got it done and i wanna see how much you people think is a good price, then il share my price with you all, and this took less than 2 weeks, plus i got my engine work done in this price also and including buyin the car so lets hear it people,

Skelly might be able to answer that. I think he gets all his work done at a garage in the north. I saw a cooper he had fixed up and there was alot done to it.

Re: full resto on a rotten mini
I was quoted about €5k for pretty much the same bodywork and a full respray about 3 years ago. No mechanical work included. I am guessing prices will have come down a bit in the meantime.

Yes. They have but not by a lot.... my engine work was done as a favour..... all bodywork and respray cost me 1750 including all panels, repairing materials, paint, laquer, all the bits an bobs. And was done in 7 days.... I couldn't believe it. It's an awesome lookin mini. And its a twin carbed 1275. So I was happy. So if anyone is lookin to get there mini done by the lads give me a shout. Cheers

By the sounds of it, you're delighted! and thats the main thing
€1750 isn't a bad price for all that, not counting the engine rebuild , whoever did the work was very efficient. As TMG said though, pics of the finished product.

Re: full resto on a rotten mini
I'm very interested in the job you got done. It looks excellent, I'm looking to get me clubman resprayed and a bit of panel work done.
I got a ball part quote today of €6000. ouch, way too much.
Can you put me in touch with your guy.
