TZP496 Mini City 850cc, where is it now?

Post by Paul_K_94 »

My Dad was telling me about the mini he bought brand new in 1980. It was a blue Mini City 850cc. He told me he seen it not that long ago, and I was just wondering is this car still about? And if it is, where abouts is it and has anyone got any pictures of it? Thanks for the help in advance :)

If in doubt, hit it with a hammer, if that doesn't work....it's an electrical problem!

I think TZP is a Donegal registration. It might be worth contacting Donegal County Council in Lifford as they would be able to check to see if its still on the road.

Ya, ZP would be donegal county, and then the T would stand for the year.

Yeah it was a donegal reg. Awh well it was worth a try, he was telling me about it he said it was the best car he ever owned as it was so basic and nothing ever to go wrong with it and he gave £2000 for it brand new in 1980, just would have been nice to hear if it was still going or if anyone had any pictures. Thanks anyway lads :)
