Tyres: Falken ZE 912's to be precise

Post by Scoobasteve7 »

Hi forum.

I'm considering getting a set of 12 x 5 inch tyres put on a set of Minilites i have for my car.
Just went to ask the local tyre supplier a price for them.

They reccomended the Falken ZE 912's. He reckoned theyd be €72 roughly each.
I've looked them up online and they seem to be fairly decent review wise but mostly UK sites and let's face it the tar is completely different there to here.

Has anyone here any experience with these tyres or any reccomendations?

Thanks

are the reviews from people who use them because i'm led to believe some falkens are known as ditchfinders....

Yeah I think so.

This is where I checked them.

(not sure if I can post links..if not mods feel free to edit)

Not all Mini size but shouldn't be that much of a difference with grip, responsiveness as it'll be the same size tyre but im open to correction.

The 12" yokohama is a very good tyre, have you considered it ?

The Yoko A539 would be the best all rounder for that size tyre but if it's something special you're after and you can find them why not try out the 048R, seriously grippy and a cool looking tread pattern too,

Thanks lads.

Yeah, the A048R's look unreal. :)

Think I'll get a set of Yoko's either way now.

Thanks to everyone. :D

A048 are great in the dry not so much in the wet... A539 would be my choice. Best tyre going
