Re: Superchargin a 93 cooper
hope you have deep pockets...
brakes will need to be upgraded, unless you want all your hard work lost to not being able to stop..
here is a starting point for you
http://www.jonspeedracing.co.uk/index.p ... &cID=19624
if you go for the kit 2 you don't need a decompression plate as the head is modified to over come this.

Re: Superchargin a 93 cooper
Hi Doc mini,
I have been involved in converting Two irish Minis to run a Supercharger setup it is by no means a simple or cheep conversion but does yeald great results,
If you want to Give me a call on (086) 816 0774
or drop by the Garrage of an evening Im sure we could help you out and talk you trough what you will need to complete Such a conversion.
We also have a few lower bujet ways of achieving a simlar power and torque value as the charger. Which are more f a DIY Option,
Best regards,
Paul.

Being a '93 Cooper I presume its SPi with a cat, you'll need to watch emmisions for the NCT.

Re: Superchargin a 93 cooper
MPI didn't come out till '97. It should be SPi unless its been converted to carb in which case the ECU should have been removed from the drivers inner wing. Carbed '93 minis are allowed a higher CO% then injected minis but I don't know how the NCT treat converted cars. Is it based on the VIN number or a physical check for carb or injection?
