banded wheels

Got an idea to get some banded steelies and run them with hubcaps. Are these legal on Irish roads and were would I get them done? Also what sort on money would I be looking at? I'm thinking about 12" wheels 6" wide.

dont no if its legal or not i no there is someone in dublin that does them but he will only do them as an orniment they will go on the car and hold air but as the wheels been cut there is no way of telling wether there gonna be 100% or not so he cant say there a wheel i can find out a price if you like
iv seen a couple of sets he done on cars with no problme

yeah if you could get a price that would be great thanks. As long as their welded properly they should be safe in my opinion anyway

Hey man I was hopin to get some banded steels to but aint sure on whether theyre legal or not (plus I got no money) but theres a crowd in england that specialise in them (http://www.bandedsteels.com/Banded%20Steels.html) And they would prob charge around £330 sterling for them I think!! Think you will prob have to put tubes into them for the tyres!!
