Faulty indicators

Hi all, the indicators were coming and going but now have gone altogether! The fuse is good, the flasher is good and the hazards work fine. Im thinking it might be the switch as the headlights dont flash either, although the high beam works fine.
Any ideas?

Try the bullet connectors behind the grill for corrosion or bad connections
Theres a handful of them there and tend to give trouble.
Directly behind the grill where the bonnet catch is.

What Joney is on about is what was wrong with the B.O.C a while ago but being the fact the headlights aren't flashing either would 'sound' like its the stalk.... But being a Mini, who knows!

Checked the connections and they all seem fine. Ive checked the brake lights as they share the same fuse and discovered they are also not working. Ive checked the fusebox terminals, flasher feed wire and switch feed wire and am getting only a very faint voltage. Could the current be leaking somewhere? Maybe the recent wet weather is to blame!

Keith replaced my fuse and it was in one of them bullet fuse holders and the connections were dirty and wouldn't let the power through...

The fact that all the indicators flash when the hazards are switched on would indicate, (no pun intended) that the main circuit is ok, no? Ill have a look at the coil to fusebox wire tomorrow. Its like you said stan, there is just not enough current getting through.

when operating on the hazard switch the power comes from a different fuse. If the brake lights are't working its proberbly the fuse or the fuse box dirty connections.

Gave the fuse box a good clean and now have indicators but still no brake lights. The headlight flasher still does'nt work. Looks like its unrelated.

Headlight flash and horn have same power source so if horn works its proberbly faulty flasher switch. brakes could be switch on pedal box

The brake lights was just a dodgy d.i.y (not mine) indicator/brake light circuit connection near the fuse box. cleaned up the wires and fed them into a block connector and hey presto. The headlights will flash if i close the contacts with my finger but not with the stalk. The contacts appear to be closing tight when the stalk is pulled. Dont ya just love lucas electrics!
