Hi All,
Can anyone suggest some good oil for my mini and how much it usually needs. Its a 1991 Leyland Mini 998cc. Gonna do a change at the weekend.

Get some 20W50 oil, Halfords do a tin for about €22. You will use most if not all of the 5 litres for a full oil and filter change.
Fill the new filter with oil and oil the rubber sealing ring prior to fitment.
Just check the level periodically with the dip stick and don't over fill it.
Disconnect the coil lead and turn the engine over on the starter until the oil pressure warning light goes out, check the oil level again and top up if needed, reattach the coil lead and away you go.

A fully carbon fiber Mini Marcos shell weighs just 7.25kg.

It's good practice, especially if the engine has been left idle for a while.
