**MIDLANDS MINI RUN - SUNDAY 17TH. JULY**

THE EASTERN REGION WILL HOLD A "MIDLANDS MINI RUN" ON SUNDAY 17TH. JULY IN CONJUNCTION WITH FRANS CRASH REPAIRS/C&F AUTO FACTORS IN PORTLAOISE.

The Run has now been finalised and is suitably located for all Eastern & Southern Region members.
As with all IMOC events, paid up members from all parts of the country are welcome to participate for free.
Non IMOC members can participate by paying the one day membership fee of €5.

* Cars arrive at 10.30am

* Depart at 11.30am for a 70 mile scenic run through the Slieve Bloom Mountains.

* Belly stop in Kinnitty Village

* Arrive back at Frans Crash Repairs/C&F Auto Factors at 3pm.

* Open to the public 3pm to 5pm where we will display our Minis in Frans to the public

* Frans will also be doing demonstrations from 3pm to 5pm on Spray Painting, Flatting, Buffing, Glaze polish and Paint Matching.
C&F Auto Factors will also be open where Frans has some special cost price offers to IMOC mambers on 20W/50 Mineral oil, plugs, oil & air filters and others various mini accessories.

* Refreshments & snacks will also be served compliments of Fran.

Anyone travelling from Cork can meet at the Amber services in Fermoy for breakfast at 9am.

Great to see so many people turning up for this Sunday, hopefully the weather will hold up as good as the last few days!

To make it handy for everyone to meet we will meet at The Midway Hotel, Cork Rd Portlaoise and for anyone travelling on the motorway its Exit 17 M7.
We'll meet at 11am there and travel down to the starting point at Frans Crash Repairs Centre.

When we have the run completed we'll head back to Frans Crash Repairs where we''ll have a display of our minis to the public from about 3pm to 5pm and Frans will do demonstrations on spray paint, flatting, buffing, glaze, polish and paint matching and there will be car wash open for whoever wants to get their mini washed. Frans will also have a special deal for IMOC members on 20w/50 oil and mini filters for whoever wants to avail! Fran has put in a lot of time in organizing the day and the route with me so if we can support in anyway it would be very much appreciated.
Fran will also have sandwitches chips and tea / coffee for all members up there.

Coonos,BlackSe7en, and myself are meeting up in the Lidl car park in Maynooth and heading over to the M7 from there and on down to Portlaoise.We will be meeting up at 9.45 and heading off at 10.00.Anyone who wishes to come along and make a convoy to the start of the run is more than welcome.

It was brilliant to see members come from all regions of the country.
Frans Crash Repairs in Portlaoise pulled out all the stops for us with their hospitality and very informative demonstrations.

It was Harry the Minis first club run and he's now in Frans to get his bodywork attended to.

A huge thank you to Darren and Fran for putting on a great event today and the demos of spray painting and polishing were excellent.Pity about the weather up in the Slieve Bloom mountains but it gives us a reason to go back when the sun shows up again.Darran had a great display of SOME of his Mini collection in Frans.And it was great to go on a run and meet up with members of all the regions so once again well done lads.Here are some pictures from today.

Great hospitality from Fran and his crew and a lovely route from Darran, especially that bit of lovely windy new tarmac down the mountains into Kinnitty. With Minis attending from as far apart as Fermoy, Shannon, Sligo, and Dundalk, it was a great location to get everyone together.

A few more Minis might be booked into Fran's before the year is out.

I'd be up for a re-run.

Forgot to mention that Fran has a small Auto Factors beside his workshop and I picked up a MPI Oil Filter for €4.30, the cheapest I've ever paid for one.

Thanks for the comments guys but its youselves that made it great by coming along! It was great to have so many members & minis there from every corner of the country. Big thanks to Fran and his crew also who pushed the boat out for us with their demos and hospitality. Pity the weather wasnt a bit better for the run but was still very enjoyable with the bit of clould overhead. Im sure we will get to do the route soon again with a bit of sunshine thrown in!
