Flipfront
I have a bit of rat look going on on the front of the Mini at the Minute after the crash! So I'm debating a flipfront...... Some have said to me that because of the fibreglass it doesn't give as much support... How much support are we losing here? I'm just thinking that it would work out a hell of a lot easier as there is no welding involved to fit and also there will be a lot more room for repairs or inspections....
Any advice?

Re: Flipfront
Personally I think flip fronts look kak on a mini, very few ever fit right. Also I am not so sure an insurer would be over the moon with all the front panels removed and replaced by plastic. But I can see the positive side as regards access.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.

I know the whole front the Mini would be fibreglass but don't a good few of the newer cars have plastic wings? I the X-trails do!BERT wrote:Douth it would pass an NCT either

Re: Flipfront
Try to stay on topic will ya lads?! (sorry, couldn't resist!)
Not sure about NCT, but KMG is right. A lot of them are a terrible fit and aren't worth the hassle. The only ones I've seen that look good are from Curley, but shipping can be tricky.
And if you do decide to get one, DO NOT go for a 1-piece. In my experience, they're a nightmare!!!

Re: Flipfront
I run one on the turbo (pre NCT) and I wouldn't even try and get one through an NCT and as you may have noticed there a bugger to fit right.
