Hi
Normally I have no problems starting my 1970 mini clubman (1275 metro unit).
But a couple of times I have had a problem starting the mini.
One time I had left the lights on for 5 mins and the next I had been listening to the radio, ignition on , engine off.
The engine would turn over easily but not start. It is like there is no spark.
I then left it for 10 – 15 mins and it starts no problem.
Do you think it’s a tired battery or coil or something?
Looking for any pointers, up to know I have played with diesel Land rovers and this is my first mini
Cheers
Neil

If the engine was turning over then the battery should be fine, sitting with the ignition on without running the engine can overheat the coil.
