1969 AUSTIN MINI
ok lads so here she is!! finally put up the pics up.... so as far as i know its 1969 mk2?? correct me if im wrong...850cc... it was originaly yellow and resprayed orange, so the plans are to bring it right back to its original 1969 form back to yellow and put back in the 850cc engine
some lovely rot in the boot
ha the mother wasnt to happy when she saw her chairs
so anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated

Not a bad project.
Was it originally yellow? The interior and behind the fuel tank seem to have been grey

Yes it was originally yellow but it was kinda restored years ago and the inside was painted grey at the time...i think it got two new floors and sills at the time but the welding isnt pretty ha

I'd say this was your original colour, a light brown not unlike the official colour "Stone" that kerryminigringo's Mk2 is:

Hmmm.. . . . id say the original colour is most likely that which was *behind* the petrol tank.....

When it was painted yellow, the colour change was probably notified to the tax office, so that is why it shows up as yellow on motor check

That brown would be an Irish spec colour,my MKII was originally that colour but I went with a lighter shade of brown as I could never get to like it.Get us posted on progress.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.

ha yeh der is a fair bit of work man but i love to tink of the finished product .....im actly ordering a few bits today and was just wondering about the chrome bumpers..front and back, are they the same??
