nothing when turning key

nothing when turning key
i took the head off my bros mini and done some work on it put it back together today
went to turn it over turned the key got ignition light turned key and nothing happning the ignition light stays on no click no nothing
im gonna try the usual things
batery
earts
fuses
any ideas what it could be (might hrlp me sleep)

An earth is the only thing that springs to mind...

does your Bro's car have a solenoid?
if so check for a good earth on it where it attaches to body/engine

i sent my starter motor off for "refurbishment" once..... as it wouldn't start... but nothing wrong with it.
turned out it was a loose connection on the spade terminal @ starter... that was a stupid way to blow 50 yoyo. - oh he did paint it....

short out the solinoide with the bit of wire, if it tries to turn over then u ll no it s ok, the ignition key on turning is effectively also a switch, bad connection there is a likely cause if solinode, starter earths ect is ok.

yes i had the same problem on my car last week ........after checking the usual batt/ fuse i took off front grille and discovered the smaller gauge white wire from the loom to the solinode had disconnected but was still sitting on its plastic connector so looked to be ok until i checked closer and wahey panic over!

its all good people,
we got it started today,
so im happy, jus wanna drive it now, but few little bits to do, need bak chrome bumper, boot lock with key, wipers playing up a little bit and few niggly little bits but its going well, il post pics in few mins, thanks for all your help


If it's bigger than a mini it's not a mini
