No, that is the beauty of this conversion.
There may be issues with the alternator mounting position in a roundnose, but both Joe and myself are fitting the engine in Clubman fronts which has more room all round.

Coming along nicely. Engine mounts are fabricated and CV clearance issues are sorted.

Progress. Slow, but deliberate....
Overall view,
Brackets during manufacture....
Gearbox mount tacked and waiting to be trimmed.
Drivers side mount.
Driveshaft coming out thrugh the subframe. You can make out some of the grinding to
accommodate the boot. The second picture shows the view from top subframe mount looking down to the back of the gearbox. This section has been reinforced.

The box section at the front seems to work out far better than the original. Much stronger all round.

Its stronger all right, but in your case it ll be sound, i m goin to get round bar tomorrow to run underneath the engine back to the legs where the subframe mounts to the floor,
For some reason yours is way easier to get in and out of the subframe, but it comin on, engine will be in tonight so will have photos later,

Top view of the front mounts
Radiator view. The front bracket needs to be trimmed before it will sit just right.

Got at the interior to try and get the dash sorted. The heater needed to have a new mounting bracket fitted.
And all that left us with this:
Got the bracket to mount the steering wheels sorted too. Welded in a new cross-member between the front uprights of the rollcage. This will support the heater as above, the steering column and the bottom of the dash will also be fixed to it to secure it fully.
Mounted
Done!

How much clearance is there for the exhaust where it goes between the sump and the front of the subframe ?
Seems to be plenty of metal left around the lower arm shaft.
