A guest staying in the B&B last night owned 90D139, a black Mini 30. She sold it about 12 years ago. Anyone know where it is now? I'm sure I've seen it mentioned on the forum in recent years.

My guest, whose name was also Helen, was the original owner of the car and we started talking Minis when she saw the model collection in the kitchen here. She told me she only left the original Mini 30 owners handbook into a charity shop last week.

It was indeed and I rang Paul this morning while my guest was still here. It also owned to Irish Times journalist Richard Oakley who used to help with PR for MTM in the early days.

That was my mini (Rosebeetle, as she was known when i had her)! I (reluctantly) sold her last year (stupid recession!) and I miss her so much! I hope she's happy with her new owner!
I bought her from Paul Kelly, who took great care of her for me for the few years I had her.
and it was my first car. I learned to drive in it etc etc. It served me so well for several years.
I actually met Helen (the original owner)'s husband and little girls once -- they flashed us on the road to Wexford, and when we pulled in and had a chat. They'd sold the car when the little girls were born, so I let them sit in etc and we had a nice chat about minis.
I'd love to hear how the new owner is getting on.
