Where to buy QUALITY classic 20W50 oil in Limerick area

Post by 10ft baby »

Hi, I have been looking for oil for the last week or so and Halfords seems to be the only place that sells this grade of oil anymore. Does anybody know who might still be selling Millers or Duckhams or similar QUALITY OIL in the Limerick area?

Welcome to the forum. Try a few of the local oil distributors as they have it in larger containers which will work out cheaper. Where in Limerick are you based? There are a few lads here e.g. plimerick, THOMAS, Goose that are based in Limerick that might be able to help you.

IMO the only person who can say if a oil is [edited for inappropriate language] or not would be a scientist or somebody with equipment to analyze it.
I find alot of people who say own brand stuff is rubbish(esp halfords) are clowns who havnt even tried it. Never had a oil related issue with halfords 20w50, havnt heard of one either.

If your heading towards Cork anytime soon might be worth a visit to EARS Motorsport in Mallow. They stock Millers 20w50. Heres the link: http://www.ears.ie/product_info.php?man ... cts_id=360

Autozone - in eastway business park does alot od classic oils. don't know the specifics but you could check them out..

they can be expensive at times but i get the special PD oil there for the vw's and it's half the price of any other place..
so it's just luck of the draw really, supply and demand and all that kinda stuff.

It can be hit aand miss around the city. Just did an oil change on my mini with 20w50 from an autofactor and its like water. Other than that I always use Halfords stuff. Its a fine solid oil compared to whats in mine now. Havent tried autozone in Eastway....might be worth a look.
And I said, Officer, I didn't want to be drunk in public...I wanna be drunk in the bar. Now last time I checked it was still legal to be drunk in the bar. They threw me into public...arrest them!
