a 99 - Flake included??
Hello, is there any benifit to buying a 99 reg Mini over a 98? One of the lads I know is saying that the 99s had a total bmw revamp safetywise?
Is there any truth in it?

The Mpi minis came in from late '96.
So all minis registered from then on should have drivers airbag, seat belt pre-tensioners and anti-intrusion bars in the doors.

Buy the one that represents most value and desire.

Value, desire, and baby seats
Actually, does anyone have them installed? Are they much bother getting little ones in and out?

I've got 1 installed, bit of a stretch to get him in and strapped in the back, but doable. Oddly I've a 73 with the same child seat, much easier to get him in and out as the front seats fold much better.

Definitely the later seats are bulkier and therefore harder to fold for access to the rear.
