Don't be puting Garreth under too much pressure, let him make the start line first. :D

Well done all the guy's involved getting this organized....

The child and I are going to be doing the MTM this year (providing we can get an entry).... It looks like M.I.N.I.'s Sligo run isn't happening this year, (very poor entries so far), so I'll just put it all into the MTM...... Going to get Bryn sponsorship to do it... it'll be a huge challenge for him to get to the start, do the run, then get home again.....

Hi Forum.
good to meet you all,
I am a new member.
I am doing some research for a holiday for my son and his girlfriend who both own minis and she really wont's to go to Ireland. so this would be a really good event for them to see the whole of Ireland. I have found an old route which i thought might go through my ancestral home as both my parents come from the Irish midlands, any way some more info would be nice, a ball park figure for the B&B and an area where you stay on the Friday night. as i plan on getting them there on the ferry in rosslare early evening Thursday. then after the rally back to Galway area and return home via Dublin tue or wed. They will be on a budget and camping on the other nights may be necessary, so i really need to have cost nailed down.
Thanks for all your help in advance.

Hi Eddie,

Welcome to the IMOC forum. Tesco vouchers can be redeemed against both Stena and Irish Ferries.

As regards somewhere to stay on the Thursday evening, we run The Old Train House B&B near Fermoy, Co. Cork about 2.5 hours from Rosslare. There's usually a few MTM entrants staying here en route to the start at Mizen Head and a few have been known to drop by on the Friday afternoon for a cuppa.

Hi all Thanks for the replys. Looks like the ferry costs for them both to take there minis is to much, £500 with a couple of tanks of gas each. Looks like 2012 will be more realistic and be able to save. and get a tesco card, to help as well. Also i can arrange a trip to Rosscommon and Athlone to visit family. Any way i will keep poping in to look at the forum.
