Emissions - I'm ok with this because I did adjust the idle screw on the carb I must have just overdone it.
Loose seats - I fitted Cobra bucket seats since the last test and the tester wasn't happy about the rear of the seat frame being able to move. I tried to explain that the original seats were worse and had more movement in them than these. So it looks like I'll have to put a plate under the car and bolt the back of the seat frame into it. I'm ok with this one too.
Secondary structural - There is a lot of rust on the bottom of both doors but it was ok nine months ago and the car has been garaged since so it was there the last time it was tested. I'm going to have to remove the rust and put filler on the bottom of the doors to get it through.
Primary structural - This is the one that really irks me, at some stage in its life the car was lifted incorrectly and the floorpan under the drivers & passengers feet was dented upwards. The metal is totally solid it's just dented. Inside the car the factory sound deadening which looks a bit like glazed sugar has cracked and broken. The tester & his supervisor claim that the sound deadening contributes to the structural integrity of the floor. So despite the fact that the floorpan metal is solid, they want me to fill the cracks in sound deadening. The only reason this was noticed was that I removed the carpets since the last test so the sound deadening couldn't be seen but the metal underneath was inspected. I fail to see how this is structural, I was going to remove it!!

I'm tempted to remove it altogether but I've been told it's hard to remove. The alternative is to fill these cracks in the sound deadening with filler
