Hi all
Thanks in advance for any help.
I have a mate coming with his mini and i just want to get an idea of what might be wrong
It's an '84 mini when he turn the key all he hears is a clicking noice but he has fitted a new battery, alternator, solinoid switch, and a starter, I am going to check earths and the main feed and make sure there is no current loss
Any ideas/possible solutions welcomed
William

Re: Problem with a mini..
Ur on the money with checkin the earths, start at the battery and the connections on it. The clicking is either the solenoid or the starter, if u get someone the turn the key u ll be able to hear. If its the starter, give it a bit of a tip with the end of a hammer, if it starts, more then likey the starter in full of dirt and not engaging with the flywheel properly,
other than that its a bad connection somewhere
