Mini Stolen
Hey all,
Ive just been informed by a mate of mine that his min has been stolen, from the Nutgrove/Rathfarnam area in the last week or so.
The car is actually my brothers old mini, its a navy & silver 91 Cooper, with 13" alleycats and red cobra buckets and a centre exit exhaust. It was just about to go for its NCT and he left the logbook in the car for some mad reason.
Id appreciate it if you guys could keep an eye out for it and if you see it or have seen it contact me on 0877423793, he is of course distraught after loseing his pride and joy.
heres a few pics from when my bro had her
cheers, Markie

Re: Mini Stolen
Thanks to a forum member for the tip on the towing yard it was currently located this morning.
The owner was contacted this morning by the gardai aswell and its currently with the insurance company to make a decision but its not looking good.
Seats & wheels have been whipped and the car was on its roof when found and partially burnt...poor mini and needless to say the owner is rageing
Not much hope for finding the parts so I think its an insurance write off!
cheers, Markie

Re: Mini Stolen
Thats depressing.
I never understand what use the wheels are to these [moderated for inappropriate language] , they are mini PCD and are too small for anything else bar a seicento or a micra.
Total Dirtbags. Hopefully they will get dominated in the budget.

Re: Mini Stolen
There 4x100's, they would go on alot of things, Starlets, Glanzas etc.. 4x100's is the majority of Jap cars and therefore will go on most small Japs. Sure Kenneth Murphy had his Wellers from the Monster on his Starlet.kona wrote:Thats depressing.

Re: Mini Stolen
Pity there wasn't a better outcome Mark. Seen this around a few time and it was mint. Might be worth him buying back the remains and using them to build another one.

Re: Mini Stolen
Cheers Lads,
Patrick the owner is still obviously pi88ed off but I think he is looking into getting what he can from the wreck and starting over, I have'nt seen the car yet but I hear the doors, subframes, brakes and suspension is salvageable so might be something for him.
sorry for putting you in a bad mood Maxi but I agree what comes around goes around

Re: Mini Stolen
totally shocked to see this!
I see this car around alot and always have to look twice at it, really was an amazing looking car.
Hopefully your mate will go up from here and with the insurance money build himself something better, but nothing could replace that.
