MTM2011 - Important Announcement
There is an important post available in the Members Only Section.
I've posted this here for those IMOC Members who can't access the Members Area at the moment:
Hi to all you MTM'ers past, present and future!,
After a successfull MTM2010, I've decided to go out on a high and hand over the reigns to someone new for 2011
I had a fantastic time being a part of such an amazing and prestigious event and indeed as just one of the cogs in the teamwork that was involved.
Due to other committments, I'm not in a position to continue being a part of the organising team for next year, although I'll be available in an advisory capacity to whoever takes on the task.
With that in mind, can anyone who is interested in being a part of the MTM2011 organising team please put their names forward now.
You can contact me directly for further details as to what exactly is involved.
Email: antonycooney@gmail.com
Mobile: 085-712 0727.
MTM2011 is your event so why not take on the rewarding challenge of making it work for everyone.
Regards,
Tony

It should be underneath the wanted section. If you are a paid up member then you should have it. Contact the admin, or maybe Billy or T.M.G can help you

Mummy, Eamo etc.,
Yes you have to let the admin know that you're a paid-up member. PM irishminis (Simon O'Carroll) stating your real name and current membership number. The reason for this is that most usernames on the forum don't give a clue as to the person's identity and Simon isn't clairvoyant.
Billy (which also happens to be my real name)

Re: MTM2011 - Important Announcement
Hi again Folks,
To give you an idea of whats involved and perhaps persuade those of you with the appropriate skills to come forward, I'm listing up some of the tasks to do to organise MTM2011:
It's important that you can be able to work as part of a team and be able to have a co-ordinated approach to operations.
MTM is what we all make it and I can assure you that its great fun being part of the organising team.
- Decide upon a date!
- Promote the event (forum, emails, media forms, other car clubs etc)
- Plot the southern section of the route
- Plot the northern section of the route
- Identify & liaise with a suitable morning breakfast stop that can accommodate up to 90 Minis + crews
- Identify & liaise with a suitable midway point that can accommodate up to 90 Minis + crews
- Identify & liaise with an evening dinner halt suitable for 90 Minis + crews
- Arrange a back up/breakdown crew
- Identify and liaise with accommodation (hotels/B&B's etc) at either end of the event .
- Inform, receive & process applications to participate in the event (you must have good computer skills)
- Keep accurate accounts of all monies received and expenditure.
- Seek sponsorships (prizes, promotionals etc)
So, what are you waiting for.............
Contact me or any member of the IMOC Committee, if you feel that you can help in any aspect of organising YOUR MTM2011
