what is the differences between 998cc 1275cc engines??

Post by vannistelrooy10 »

insurance costs and petrol aside what are the differences between 998cc 1275cc engines??

i am looking for a 1275cc mini, but there is alot of 998cc engined cars for sale around and not alot 1275cc, i m now thiking of getting the 998cc??
the car will mainly be just used for fun, so alot of stop and start driving and the engine will be rarely on long enough for the engine to get going properly, as it will be in use around northside of dublin.
is there much difference in terms of performance???

i have a budget of e3500 for the car so does anybody know of a good example up for sale??

Why are minis sooooo expensive on buy and sell and most are shitters

I don't think that driving a car on the North side will affect performance.

Try giving Sean O'Hara in Longford a ring on 043-46172 , he has a few Minis for sale, one of them might suit you.

They are the same engine.

But at the end of the day there is no replacement for displacement.

The 1275 is 30% bigger.

But if you want to stick in the 1lt category, they are just as tunable as the 1.3's.

998's can be sweet little engines. and with the right bits, can give standard 1275's a fright.

I have a 94 Mini Sprite (1275cc) that I'm thinking of selling. Needs a small amount of work since it failed the NCT.
