Hey,
Many heading along to this? Have my mini back on the road after my new engine build,
and wouldn't mind a run. Certainly not a contender for economy but just want
to get out for a spin! Might head along anyway!

A big thank you to Gavin,Frank and all the Donnelly clan for organising a great economy run.11 Minis took part over an excellent course.I managed to average 34.4 mpg from the Clubman estate and even managed to nurse it home with a dodgy front wheel bearing, though not nearly as good as the winning Mini on 59mpg.Rumour has it that the next one will be in the SouthEast early next year.

Have to agree with the above.

A big thanks to the lads and ladies for their work in hosting a very enjoyable afternoon's run with a good challenging but easy to follw course (although one entrant whom shall remain namelees did get lost in their Nürburgring lapping Turbo  ).

The top 3 for the event were

1. Sindy McDonagh in her Jap Import 00 Mini Cooper with an average of 59.88 miles per gallon.
2. Robbie Donnelly in another Mini Cooper this time a 98 with 54.29 miles per gallon.
3. Liam Molloy in his 1990 Mini with 47.09 miles per gallon.

Rebecca Price took home the "Lead Foot" award with a gas guzzling 24.77 miles per gallon. A new challenger for Mick Glennon in the future no doubt.

Thanks also go out to the people at the Lucan Pitch and Putt Club for allowing us the use of their Club house for the prize giving and the refreshments.

Looking forward to the next one and perhaps we could have an Economy Run in each Reigon next year. 8) :D

My sister in law said she spotted Woody in Clane yesterday, I asked about the other minis and she said no just him. I now know why. Does sort of remind me about the last 2Kms in Europort.
