did BMC build a 1375 A-series??? or would it be a 1330 with shortened pistons???


Why are minis sooooo expensive on buy and sell and most are shitters

looks like a typo to me. (reaches for the Vizard book to check..)

The larges production A series was 1275cc.

They can be bored and stroked to 1600cc though.

didnt the allegro come in a 1.5??? its just i saw a mini advertised as a 1375??? must be a load of ****, he also called it a GT when its a round nose

oh right!! so there is no such thing as a 1375 A-series?? how will i confirm it isnt, will the number on the cylinder head give it away???

Having never seen a 1375cc A-series number I couldn't tell you what to look for, but if you post the first 6 letters/numbers of the engine number, someone might be able to help.
What other parts are there on the car to tell you that it's a gt ?

it defo aint a GT its a round nose, so defo aint a GT. i dont own it i am going to look at it, i think the seller is b********ing alot, nice car though i will get all info when i go to see it.

I know the car you're talking about.

It has a Minisport 1380 engine and it's a Rover Mini Checkmate as far as I remember.

The seller must be a little mixed up....

went to see it last nite,your right its a checkmate, or what little is left of it, alot of origional parts are gone, he didnt really know much bout minis or the engine, previous owners etc. its has potential but is very very rough, i dont know how it has a new NCT, it had petrol flying out of carb, the head gasket was gone, thats only from a quick look, and body was in a bit of a sorry state.
it would be a nice project car but too expensive for myself, as engine needs to be stripped and rebuilt and the body needs alot of welding a respray and prob new subframe at the back.
