Clutch and Brake pedal stuck
Hi, I have a 94 mini cooper thats been off the road for about a year, but was used regularly before this. It still starts fine, but the clutch and brake pedal seem to have seized. There was no trouble from them before the car was left sitting, but neither will move at all now. Any ideas?
I'm thinking of selling it, but I'm not sure what would be the going rate for a car in this condition. Obviously depending on whats involved with the clutch and brake, it would probably need a bit of work on other areas and has rust in the usual places. Any thoughts would be welcome.
thanks

Probably stuck with a film of rust on the pivot shaft where they, umm, pivot. No doubt you will spend some happy moments upside-down under the dash trying to free them off.

When it comes to the clutch check the arm on bell housing as they become seized and the gives impression of pedal stuck.

Re: Clutch and Brake pedal stuck
If both are stuck I'd go with the pivot bar. Plenty of WD40 ,but I've seen a case were the pedal box had to be removed to sort out.

thanks for the pointers. I thought it may have been something along those lines, and made a half assed attempt at spraying a bit of wd40 and giving them a wiggle. they're not in the most accesible of places though. I'll give it another more thorough go and see how i get on. based in south Dublin. Just glad you didn't think it was anything more serious
