Restoration Book

Post by Eanna »

hey all.

as always im looking for a bit of help/advice. im trying to restore an 88 mini and was on the search for a book to help me along the way.

i have the haynes manual for repairing of mini's but would like to get a book that deals directally with restoration.

i have found "Mini Restoration Manual (Haynes Resto Series) (Hardcover) by Lindsay Porter" but would like to know:

Is it worth buying?
Will it be much help?
Does it give good detail?
Are there any better books/DVD's available?

Thanks,
Eanna

Hi Eanna, The Lindsey Porter Book is worth having its very detailed. There"s another book through practical classics its a collection of their monthly issues when they restored a cooper and goes through each stage of restoration. all coloured photos. http://www.practicalclassics.co.uk
