Body Shell
Hi All,
There is a fair bit of bodywork needed on my mayfair, but the engine and all parts are perfect. Spent nearly €2k on getting it all fixed, including shocks, CV boots, general consumables. Now, Ive been told to get the bodywork sorted will cost a fair bit. I really dont want to get rid of it, but it seems I might have to. So, my thinking is, could I get a rust free donor car, and just plonk the engine into it? Or do you think I should keep the car and get the bodywork done. I really dont want to get rid of it...
Thanks

Re: Body Shell
if you find one, let me know.... i would find out how you could reduce the cost of sorting out your existing car... in my case im planning on stripping out all the interior, glass, trim etc to deliver to the body-shop ready for work. might save half a day or so in costs.antodeco wrote:Hi All,

that way, if you are planning on keeping it, you will know what was done.
Signature still awaiting top-coat and lacquer....

Re: Body Shell
We have a really tidy mid 90s shell in our workshop that's up for grabs. Has some very minor bubbling on the passenger wing but pretty mint other than that. It's BRG and you could probably get away with not repainting it.
Doesn't have doors, boot, or bonnet.
Let mr know if you're interested and you can come have a look.

Re: Body Shell
I know of one which is fairly rust free. I suppose its a case of needing someone to look at the car for me now, and giving me an honest opinion of what I should do!
