Southern region meeting July 21st

Post by Gav88 »

At last nights meeting there were only 4 that turned up

Considering were a organised club and the venue, Viaduct Bar, Bandon rd, Cork have provided a great room and FREE  :o  yes free finger food ect this looked very very poor.

As a result I'm going to try bump the region on here.

The next meeting is on the 21st of July in the Viaduct Bar, Bandon rd, Cork at 8:30 pm

Everyone and anyone are welcome, even if your mini is still in a pile of bits on the shed floor.

People from kerry ect if you make the effort to come up then we will do the same and have meetings down your way. Theres no point in being in a club and not being involved. You get out what you put in with these things !

Give Johnny Murphy 087 9503913 a buzz and go from there.

Gav,

It's good to have a discussion on SR meetings as hopefully it will stir more people in the region to make an effort to take part more. There's no shortage of club members in Munster and they turn out in force for big events like MTM where we had 80+ Minis. It's the local smaller events that the region struggles and well done at making an effort to publicise local events better. It does take effort to publicise and push the local stuff but it can be done. The World Cup is also playing havoc with evening meetings lately but that's temporary.

Charleville should bring people out in numbers but it needs to be pushed on this forum.

Kerry members should consider making an effort to make SR meetings !

How about notification that a meeting was being held to start with, not 1 club member i've spoken to down here were aware a meeting was taking place !! This is in fact the 2nd time this year that it has happened !

At the moment i am working on an email listing for the Southern Region, that i can send out an email reminder to all southern members and i hope to have it in place by the next meeting. I will also send out a text message to remind members of same. I have also updated the Events Calender on to forum to show that the Southern Region meeting is on the 3rd. Wednesday of every month from now on in the Viaduct Bar, Bandon Rd., Cork at 8.30pm.
I hope this will be of some help to Southern members.

your brain doesnt work most of the time gavin, and the mini sitting on the shed floor i presume your referring to mine, but ya ill be at the next meeting. Just to point out if people turn up to the meeting next month we could have a discussion on how sort out the communication issues and discuss other venues for meeting to suit all that are envolved. and hopefully drive on from there. I will also be at charleville show im takiing your mini gav.

well I generally dive head first into most things, mini's were no exception. Bought my first mini, 3 weeks later it pretty much burnt out as I was driving it due to 20 quid of petrol leaking from the tank and filling the boot.

she's almost well again, just in doctor Murphys hands for a tune

Lads i would nt get annoyed with the poor outs, it happens. I remember the first meeting we had in carrick, lookin back on the numbers we had 18 turn up which was brilliant, then we moved to cavan with a turn out of 23, 3 months after the first meeting we went to sligo where we had 6 and its been the same 6 every since,

However the very best of uck with the meetin, and be sure and push people to book in for the campin weekend if there goin, we want to have a fair idea of numbers before the event
